My cat, Windowsitter, (a weird name) climbs
up my bed ladder on my bunkbed with socks in
her mouth and every morning at 6:00 am, she
bites my ears to wake me up! That's

A SMALL DOG WITH A
BIG HEART
A TRUE AND AMAZING STORY
Buddy is a
Basenji. He is a small dog with a big heart. One day we went hiking with
him in the beautiful coastal hills just outside of Lincoln City, Oregon.
At one point along the way we noticed that he was missing. He had been
with us just moments earlier but now he was nowhere to be found. We
quickly realized that there was only one place that he could have gone.
He had fallen off from a 280 foot cliff. Our hearts sank as we realized
nothing could have lived through such a terrible fall. We found a way to
the bottom of the cliff and there he was, still alive but in bad shape.
At times, as we were carrying him, we didn't know if he was alive or
dead. It took roughly a hour to get him to the car and another hour
before the vet could drive into our small town to treat him.
Miraculously, Buddy lived. It took several months for him to physically
and mentally heal but he seems fully recovered at this time. Buddy still
seems to lack a understanding of the concept of gravity and the vet
recommended that we have him fitted for a parachute. We feel very
fortunate that he is still with us. To see photos of Buddy
and the cliff he fell from visit his website at

My Golden Retriever is so
smart that whenever I say "Bang, Bang" he plays dead. This is just
one of the many tricks I have taught him! |

My two cats are so awesome!
They do the cutest things! When they were first introduced they hated
each other, now they're best friends! They are inseparable!
All I have to say is "are you hungry?" and they come running to the
kitchen, wagging their tails! They sleep together in a bed in one
of my spare bedrooms. They are just so adorable. I never
thought I could get so attached but I have. They bring so much joy
to my life! In the morning, they come get in my bed and they just
lay there so quietly until I wake up. Can you believe it?
They don't even try and wake me up, they will just lay there until I get
up to feed them. So considerate! |
