Just sending notification that a new home has been found for Jette the
black lab/husky. Jette has been adopted by a young family with two
children ages 1 and 5 years old. Jette was very playful with the
children but gentle. Even though my husband and my schedules keeps us
away from home 10 to 12 hours a day we miss Jette very much, and both
feel an empty spot in our hearts for Jette. We are comforted though, by
the thought that Jette has someone to cuddle and play with all day which
she really wanted and deserved.
Thank you so much for listing our puppy and making your services
available. |

Success!!!
We got a phone call just this evening (at about 10:00) from a really
nice family that found Maggie!!!! Of course we went to pick her up
right away. She is now home and safe. They first saw the ad I
placed in the Wichita Eagle and thought it may be her, but verified by
looking at the picture on your website. Thank you so much for offering
this terrific service and for your encouragement. My family is
forever in your debt!

We live in New Jersey and
have been looking for just the right Great Dane to add to our already
existing pet family ( we have 4 now). We preferred a "rescue" Dane but
so far every adult Dane we inquire about does not get along with other
animals, so...we went for a pup, they were always sooo pricey! And the
breeders didn't have enough "family history". One day I placed a "free
ad" in the WichitaPetFinder "pets wanted" section. Long behold a breeder
all the way from Tennessee saw my ad and responded via-e-mail well after
swapping pics and letters, we spoke on the phone for over 2 hours! This
is a woman/family like myself she absolutely loves her dogs and has 15
generations
of breeding! We really hit it off, we call each other "related" now.
Her pups are beautiful and she knows all about the breed she is also
very careful about who she let's purchase her pups which I love. We talk
all the time and our new little baby is coming on June 3rd. We are
picking her up from the airport she is flying Delta pet. If it wasn't
for Heather and WichitaPetFinder we would still be searching, we owe you
one! Funny how I placed an ad in Kansas live in NJ and purchased a pup
from TN! It's amazing how pets can make everyone so far apart feel so
close together.
We are all so happy thank you Heather! And when we get Rosie (we renamed
her Sky) home and take a new family photo I will send it, Keep up all
the good work! And keep in touch!
Esther Boerner and family:)

You
are a doll, thank you again, a million times over, you helped us all
through a tough spot in our lives, I have never been so happy as I
was the moment Sid was returned. I drove right over to my moms
house and gave Sid hugs and kisses, then went and made Sid and
Sophie ID tags and bought collars, which they are now proudly
wearing, some protest to the collars right now, but they will get
used to them, Suzie is 22 and can barely even walk, so I know she
won't be going anywhere. Now they have identification, although I
am 100% Positive this will NEVER happen again.
Mom
has had her other 2 dogs for 22 years and never lost them for a
moment, Suzie is still with us but Winston passed about 2 months
ago, my sister and I bought Sid and Sophie to help mom in her
sadness.

Today
was an awesome day, mom was so excited and overjoyed, words can't
express her happiness or her expression when she walked into the
house. Mom has a ritual when coming home each day, she always
goes straight to the steps to say hello to the dogs, who are always
waiting for her, which she did as usual this morning, then she saw
my brothers feet at the top of the stairs as she was petting Sophie
and Suzie, she looked up at my brother, then her eyes got as big as
saucers and her mouth dropped open and she just stared at Sid, no
words would come out of her mouth, then all the sudden Sid just
jumped into her arms and of course their were Kisses, Lots of
Kisses and Tears.
This
is the story about his disappearance, Sid had backtracked close to
moms house, maybe trying to find home, totally the opposite
direction he was first seen heading, at the end of Moms street runs
a creek bed and a bunch of trees, a gentleman was outside working on
his house and saw 2 dogs run by into the woods, he noticed Sid was
just a puppy he went after them, the other dog ran away he couldn't
catch him/her and said that dog was an older dog, but Sid just sat
there and wagged his tail, the man went over and picked him up.
They had put an ad in today's paper first thing this morning, then
the man left to go to work and saw the signs we had all over the
neighborhood, immediately he called his wife and his daughter and
they brought Sid home, I guess Sid spent the weekend with his
daughter on Longfellow Street over the weekend, so of course they
did not see the signs. Can't believe Sid had a buddy that quickly,
hope that dog is okay!
Thanks again for everything, now we can all sleep tonight, (we were
all worried he was out there all alone, so glad he had a warm place
to sleep at night and was being so well taken care of, he can
even go down the steps now, a little trick he learned while away).
I
will tell EVERYONE I KNOW or ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN, about your
site! Your e-mails were so encouraging and helpful, you go above
and beyond, suggestions, encouragement, positive thoughts,
explanations, sleepless nights, everything we went through you
seemed to go thru right along with us. Again, We can't thank you
enough, you were the first person I notified, minutes after finding
SID.
